Description/Scope of Work:
- Support CHS on build requirements for Epic Inpatient work
- Participate in weekly standing design team and operational meetings with CHS/all
- Health division’s serving as an Orders/Inpatient lead for HIT
- Take on all requests and incident work related to CalAIM requirements and reporting (within Inpatient)
- Assist and facilitate agenda meetings with CHS and Health IT that relate to operational or improvement of EHR system processes
- Be able to support the county Health IT core working hours (weekdays 8 hour daytime shift)
- Serve as a representative member for Orders team in review, testing, and implementation of new functionality, updates, and new system implementations
Examples of Duties:
- Build required orders, order sets, order rules and inpatient related configuration as a working member of the Health IT Orders team - with a dedicated focus on CHS requests and CalAIM
- Review and troubleshoot user incidents and requests related to inpatient, security or regulatory needs with a dedicated focus on CHS
- Collaborate with other application team members on ensuring reporting, attestation and workflow design is appropriate and working within CHS for the purpose of CalAIM JI project
- Work directly with CHS stakeholders and end users to address and resolve issues specific to CalAIM JI configuration/changes directed from DHCS.
Outline the Business Need for this Request:
We are identifying a couple inpatient contractors including Orders to fully support, build, and implement the HIT Orders teamwork for Correctional Health during their implementation of CalAIM JI (1.5+ year process).
Requirements:
- 2 to 10 years of experience working with Epic Orders and or other Epic Inpatient modules
- 2 to 10 years of Tier 2 direct build support of physicians and nursing in a healthcare system working with Epic
- Experience of full lifecycle implementation support for an Epic application/system
- Maintained Epic certification in Orders at minimum
- Experience with employing Service and Change Management standards in a healthcare IT setting (e.g. via ServiceNow, Salesforce)
Qualifications:
- Ability to identify, analyze, and recommend improvements and enhancements to operational processes, system automation, and information flows to ensure greater integration of functions within the organization.
- Coordinate security workgroups, ensure integrity of the system’s security infrastructure, and provision security for users.
- Serve as the first point of contact for users, customers, and vendors on EHR-related issues; troubleshoot problems and respond to inquiries.
- Support assigned interfaces and ensure interfaces meet the needs of end users.
- Perform a variety of analytical duties in the design, implementation, and maintenance of EHR information systems or applications.
- Implement testing requirements and process, facilitate end user testing, hardware testing, and maintain test environments.
- Participate in the evaluation of new application releases, test new applications and system upgrades.
- Install or upgrade software applications; and troubleshoot software and application related problems.
- Interact with end users and vendors on project design issues and work to resolve vendor production support issues.
